TGT HR Policies

Holidays:

Employees will observe public holidays according to their home country and state regulations.

Leaves:

  • Leaves are calculated on a calendar year basis (Jan-Dec). Employees are entitled to a total of 24 leaves annually, comprising 12 vacation days and 12 sick days.
  • Sick leaves are to be used exclusively for illness and cannot be combined with vacation leave. If an employee takes sick leave for 3 days or more consecutively, they must inform TGT HR and provide a medical certificate. A maximum of 12 sick leaves can be taken per calendar year.
  • Vacation leaves accrue monthly, starting from the 20th day of each month. There is no limit on carrying forward vacation leave balance to the next calendar year, but employees can accumulate a maximum of 30 vacation leaves.
  • To request leave, employees should email TGT HR and CC their reporting manager. Approval from both TGT HR and the reporting manager is required.
  • Leave balances and other details can be accessed through HRMIS or by emailing HR.
  • During the notice period for resignation, employees cannot use vacation leaves.

Leave of Absence:

TGT provides support for urgent personal or family-related leave. The maximum duration for an unpaid leave of absence is 3 months. Examples of eligible reasons include elder care, urgent personal issues, and family health concerns.

Eligibility criteria:

  • Employees must use their vacation balance before starting unpaid leave.
  • A minimum of one year of service is required for eligibility.

Leave Encashment Policy:

TGT employees have the option to encash their leaves in January. Full encashment is required; partial encashment is not permitted. Leave encashment is included in the Full and Final settlement for departing employees.

The fixed remuneration for one leave is INR 5000/day. For instance, if an employee encashes 10 leaves in January, they will receive INR 50,000 (INR 5000 * 10 vacation leaves).

To request leave encashment, employees must email HR before January 15th. Once approved, the remuneration will be included with the January salary. Applicable taxes will be deducted according to Income Tax law.
